It's the post you've all been waiting for! The first update in the World Cup Predictor Competition is here! Off to a flying start and topping the table is Mark Br with an impressive 40 points, but there are still a lot of matches to be played and a lot of points up for grabs, so watch this space!
A massive thank you to Juliet, Colin, Darren and all the Porters at King’s Mill Hospital who have raised £500 for us through football scratch cards! We are so grateful as will be the families who will benefit from your generous donation!
Thanks to your support, all the families on the Neonatal Unit at King's Mill and the Special Care Baby Unit at Bassetlaw have received a gift bag! We hope you enjoy them!
Happy Father's Day to all the fabulous dads out there! Hope you have a lovely day. Thinking of those who will spend today with their baby on a Neonatal Unit and for all those who find today difficult for whatever reason.
Are you a dad who has had (or currently has) a baby or babies on NICU? We'd love for you to join us on Sunday 5th July for an informal get together to eat pizza and chat about whether you would like to do something on a regular basis. No pressure to chat - you can just come and eat pizza! We will be joined by Becca, the psychologist from King's Mill NICU. All dad's welcome!
We were overwhelmed by the number and quality of applications we received for our London Marathon place and the Trustees had a very difficult job of deciding, but we are delighted to announce that our runner in 2027 will be Ruby! Ruby experienced life on the Neonatal Unit at King's Mill with her first son, during Covid. Owning a gym, Ruby is no stranger to sport, being a former international gymnast and now a personal trainer. However, this will be her first marathon experience and she is looking forward to the challenge! Thank you to every one who applied and well done to Ruby!

A reminder that our Roving Coffee Morning is taking place this Saturday at Trinity Methodist Church in Mansfield Woodhouse. Parking in Morrisons or for disabled badge holders, outside the church and access to the church hall is via the side street on School Lane. We look forward to seeing you there!
This week is Baby Communication Week and we were approached by the Speech & Language Therapist at King's Mill to ask if we could put together gift bags for families to encourage communication. We were delighted to rise to the challenge and today, all families at King's Mill and Bassetlaw have been given a bag containing a blanket, books, hand held mirror (to see baby when in Kangaroo Care), chocolates and information about communicating with baby! Thanks to Project Linus for providing the blankets!
